Since she was a third grader growing up in a rural Wisconsin community, Nicole Bauer dreamed of becoming an attorney. During her education, she received honors at the state and national levels in debate, forensics, and moot court. Now, Ms. Bauer has lived out her dream of being a lawyer. Ms. Bauer made the Freeport area her home since starting her practice in 1996, and she has been a shareholder in the law firm since 2000.
Admitted to the Illinois and Wisconsin bars, Ms. Bauer can practice before all Illinois and Wisconsin Trial and Appellate Courts, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin, and the Northern District of Illinois. Ms. Bauer is also a member of the American Business Women’s Association and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
Since moving to the Freeport area, Ms. Bauer has been involved in the community. Most notably, she chaired the Freeport Lincoln-Douglas Sesquicentennial Commission. Her efforts resulted in the City of Freeport Dennis Garkey Award and the Chamber of Commerce Dale LeBaron Award for Community Service.
Ms. Bauer is an administrative hearing officer for the City of Freeport. She also has served on the Freeport Community Foundation Board of Directors, the Lincoln-Douglas Society Board of Directors, and Freeport Public Library Board of Trustees. She has served as a chairperson of the annual Rotary Business Forum, and she is a Highland Community College Leadership Institute graduate. Ms. Bauer also has been named Woman of the Year by the Lamplighter Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association.
She also has served on the Rotary Club Board of Directors, Salvation Army Advisory Board, YWCA Board of Directors, Jaycees, the City of Freeport Human Relations Commission, and the Freeport Electoral Commission.
Ms. Bauer loves helping clients plan ahead and resolve problems. Since she was a girl, Ms. Bauer has had a plan. Now she is helping others make their plans a reality.
