Graduate Degree:  Juris Doctor, University of Illinois.

Robert B. Plager, former President and shareholder of Plager, Krug, Bauer & Rudolph, Ltd. is now associated with the firm as of counsel.

As a member of Plager, Krug, Bauer & Rudolph, Ltd. since its inception and its predecessor organization since 1967, Robert Plager had many years of experience in the practice of law for clients in Freeport and the surrounding communities.

Admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1967, he was also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois and before the United States Supreme Court.  He was a member and past president of the Stephenson County Bar Association and a member of the Illinois State Bar Association.  He was a founding member of the Agriculture Law Section Council and served as its chairman in 1995-1996.

Active in community affairs, Mr. Plager served on various boards, including the Lincoln-Douglas Society, which works to enhance this community’s understanding and appreciation of its rich heritage.  He has received awards as Outstanding Young Man of Freeport and Kiwanian of the Year.
